Woman Who Has No Voice – Early Shifts (Weeks 2, 3, 4)

As the first month of the project unfolds, the images begin to register small but important shifts in how silence behaves within the body.

Week 2 shows silence becoming normalised. It settles into the body as something familiar rather than imposed. The posture is steady, the framing tightens, and even without covering the mouth, silence remains intact – held without resistance.

In Week 3, containment becomes more visible. Silence begins to press inward, creating tension beneath the surface. The face carries more weight, gestures reduce, and the image grows more concentrated. The body is not resisting silence yet, but it is no longer passive.

By Week 4, the first signs of internal shift appear. The structure of silence holds, but it becomes less uniform. A change in angle, fabric placement, or posture suggests that what once felt stable is beginning to move. The body remains quiet, but the quiet is no longer smooth.

These early weeks establish the foundation for what comes later: silence that changes shape, position, and influence as the series progresses.

Thank you for continuing with me through these early transitions.
